Ownership, hosting and security

Updated October 12, 2026

You keep ownership of what you give us: your descriptions, files and data. Who owns the finished code is set out in your quote. Your project runs on service providers we choose, and some of them store information outside Australia.

What you own

  • Your descriptions, files and data stay yours. You allow us to use them to plan, build and run your project.
  • Who owns the finished code is set out in your quote.

Where your project is held

We use these kinds of service providers:

  • AI model providers run the conversation and write code.
  • Cloud workspaces build your app.
  • A code hosting service stores your project's code.
  • A database provider holds accounts and app databases.
  • A hosting provider runs apps.
  • A website analytics service counts website visits.
  • A payment processor handles payments.

Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States.

What deleting a project removes

To delete a project, point to it in your project list, choose Delete project, then Delete. You can't delete a project while Dave is working on it.

  • Removed straight away: the conversation, its documents and any images you uploaded.
  • Removed shortly after: the running app, including any domain connected to it, its database and its workspace.
  • Kept: the repository that holds your project's code. Email us if you want it deleted too.

Keeping things safe

  • Published apps are served over HTTPS, and your own domain gets its certificate automatically.
  • Files that hold secret settings (.env files) aren't shown in the Code panel.
  • DNS record values stay covered on screen, so a screenshot doesn't carry them.
  • We don't sell your information.
