How a project works

You describe your problem to Dave. We give you a written plan and a fixed quote, free of charge.

Dave then builds a first version from your plan. Each email address gets two first versions free; after that, a project's first version costs A$10, paid before Dave builds it, and the A$10 comes off that project's deposit. Once you have tried it, work on the rest of your plan starts when you pay the deposit set out in your quote.

Scope

Your quote lists what will be built. Anything outside that list, including new features, is quoted separately.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.

The deposit is set out in your quote. You pay it after you have tried the first version, and it comes off your final price. If you paid A$10 for that project's first version, you pay the deposit less A$10.

Starter projects start from A$990 and Standard projects from A$1,990. Your quote sets the final price. The balance, which is the final price less the deposit, is paid before your app goes live.

Payment for Enterprise projects is set out in your quote.

Engineers

Dave builds with AI, and our software engineers in Australia stand behind every project.

Starter projects include 1 session with an engineer to ensure the quality, and Standard projects include up to 3. A session is one list of changes within your agreed plan, made by an engineer and handed back for your review. Sessions are used within 30 days of launch.

If a list is very large, we may split it into more than one session, and we'll tell you before we do.

Care plans

Care and Care Plus are monthly plans for looking after an app once it's live. What each one includes is shown on our pricing page.

Free

Sorting out your requirement with Dave is completely free, and so are the written plan and the quote. The first version Dave builds from your plan is free twice for each email address; after that it costs A$10, as set out above. Free use has a limit; once you reach it, you can ask us for a quote to keep going.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you give us: your descriptions, files and data. You allow us to use them to plan, build and run your project.

Who owns the finished code is set out in your quote.

Acceptable use

Don't use Dave to build anything unlawful, or to handle information you don't have the right to use.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. A quote you have already accepted keeps the terms it was accepted under.
