After the free limit

Updated October 12, 2026

Work Dave does on your project, such as changes after delivery, counts towards a free limit. When you reach it, the message box asks you to get a quote. Choose Get a quote to email us, and we send you a quote to keep going. Everything you have made stays in your project.

What counts towards the limit

  • Messages and answers that Dave works on, such as changes after delivery.
  • Sorting out your requirement, your plan and quote, and the first version don't count.
  • Viewing the Preview, editing code yourself in the Code panel and connecting a domain don't count.

A task Dave has already started always finishes, even if it takes you past the limit.

When you reach it

  • A note above the message box says "You've reached the free limit.", with a Get a quote button.
  • The message box shows "Get a quote to keep building…" until your project continues under a quote.
  • Your documents, Preview, code and published app all stay as they are.

Getting a quote

Get a quote opens an email to help@davethebest.com with the subject "Quote request". Tell us which project it is for and anything you want to add. We reply with a quote for the work.
