How payment works

Sorting out your requirement with Dave is free, and so are the written plan, the quote and the first version Dave builds. Once you have tried the first version, you pay a deposit and Dave builds the rest of your plan. You pay the balance before your app goes live. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
What is free

Free use has a limit. Once you reach it, you can ask us for a quote to keep going. See After the free limit.
The deposit
Once you have tried the first version, the deposit lets Dave build the rest of your plan. The amount is set out in your quote, and it comes off your final price.
The balance
Your quote sets the final price. The balance is the final price less the deposit, and it is paid before your app goes live. For Enterprise projects, payment is set out in your quote.
What the price covers
Everything listed in your quote. Anything outside that list, including new features, is quoted separately.
Engineer sessions
Our software engineers in Australia stand behind every project. Starter projects include 1 session with an engineer, and Standard projects include up to 3.
A session is one list of changes within your agreed plan: an engineer makes them and hands your app back for you to review. Sessions are used within 30 days of launch. If a list is very large, we may split it into more than one session, and we tell you before we do.
After launch
Care and Care Plus are monthly plans for looking after your app once it is live. See Care plans.
