Dave is an AI software agency: AI writes the software and our engineers check it, from the first conversation to launch. A plan on paper only goes so far. A first version you can click through shows whether we've understood you, and it costs you nothing to find out.
Here's what you get before you pay:
A plan in your own words. Dave asks a few questions at a time and writes up what you need: who uses it, what it does, and what's left out. You check that summary before anything is planned.
A fixed price, checked by an engineer. One of our engineers reads the plan and sets the price. The quote lists every deliverable, the deposit and the timeline. Changes inside the plan are included; new features are quoted separately.
A first version you can use. Dave builds the first version of your plan and opens it beside the chat, so you can use the app as it takes shape.
Engineers behind every project. An engineer checks your plan and price, fixes what you flag, and meets you when you book a call.
How it works
Here is one example project from first message to first version: Doyle & Son, a family plumbing business in Brisbane whose quotes lived in a notebook and rarely got a follow-up.
1. Describe the problem. Start with what's going wrong, in your own words. There's nothing to prepare and no form to fill in.
2. Answer a few questions. Dave asks what makes your business different, who will use the software, and how often. Every answer goes into the plan.
3. Check the summary. Dave writes up the requirement: the goal, the users, and what's in and out. Change anything you like, then choose Send me the plan.
4. Get your plan and a fixed quote. Our team checks the plan and sets a fixed price, then emails you the plan and the quote. The quote shows every deliverable, the total, the deposit and the estimated timeline.
5. Try the first version. Choose See how it looks, and Dave builds a first version of your plan, free. For Doyle & Son, that was the page their customers open to read a quote, line by line, and accept it.
If it's right, pay the deposit set out in your quote and we build the rest of your plan. Our engineers work through your list of changes, and you pay the balance before your app goes live.

Availability
Free first versions are available now on every new project. Each email address includes two; after that, a first version costs A$10, which comes off that project's deposit.
